1. Choose the right charger
E-Fix commonly installs quality smart chargers including Ohme, myenergi Zappi, Hypervolt and EcoFlow options. The right choice depends on your car, tariff, driveway and whether solar panels or battery storage are part of the setup.
2. Check the electrical supply
The consumer unit, earthing arrangement, available capacity and likely charging load need checking before installation. Load management may be needed in some homes.
3. Plan the cable route
The cable route should be practical, tidy and safe. E-Fix looks at where the charger will be used day to day, where the car parks and how the cable will be stored.
4. Fit, test and hand over
After installation, the charger is tested and handed over so you understand app setup, smart charging features and basic use.
5. Certificates and National Grid
Relevant electrical certificates and Building Regulations compliance paperwork are provided after completion. E-Fix will also handle the application and notify National Grid where required.
